Vic Meyers Orch.

  

Victor A. Meyers, dance orchestra leader who broadcast from the Rose Room of  the Butler Hotel, 114 James Street, and also performed at the Trianon Ballroom in at 3rd Avenue and Wall Street in Seattle.  In 1928-29, he was heard on ABC Network for three hours a day (6-7 PM and 10-12 PM) .  He later entered politics, running unsuccessfully for mayor of Seattle in 1932.   Later that year, Meyers ran for Lieutenant Governor and won. He was re-elected five times and finally defeated in 1952. He ran successfully for Secretary of State in 1956, was re-elected in 1960, and defeated in 1964.
