Where the News Comes From

"This photo and drawing shows the TRIBUNE Tower and the studio in the editorial rooms, on the fourth floor, from where the baseball scores and daily news reports are broadcast.  The line designates the connection between the fourth floor, central receiving point of all news, and the powerful transmitter in the tower.  This arrangement permits the TRIBUNE to give the public quick and efficient service on all news events."   Oakland Tribune, April 20, 1924.
