Studio "A" at KPO, 1925

Studio Image Ship of Joy cast

The photo shows the main studio of KPO on the sixth floor of Hale Brothers' Department Store, as it appeared in 1925. The studio organ on the right is surrounded by the "tone screen". The pipes for the organ are located behind the screen. At right is a photo of the cast of the "Ship of Joy" program in the same studio, taken about 1930. The audio control room is located behind the windows at the rear.
