Carter B. at KRE
Here
is San Francisco's beloved disk jockey Carter B. Smith, seen early in
his career while working at KRE in Berkeley. His first big
break was as the straight man for KSFO’s legendary Don Sherwood, and he
then went on to become a familiar voice on KSFO, KNBR, KFRC and
KABL. Smith passed away in 2011 after more than 40 years in
Bay Area radio. (CHRS Archives)
