This was the KSFO Master Control console at Number One Nob Hill Circle.  It was in the center of the operation, surrounded by windows looking into different studios and control booths.  From this operating position, one engineer simultaneously oversaw all the audio for AM and shortwave broadcasting, auditioning, recording and rehearsing in each of the studios.  Network connections and remote broadcasts were also managed from this desk.  (Photos courtesy of Kevin Mostyn)
