This view shows some KSFO staff members and guests in front of the KSFO and KWID transmitter building at Islais Creek in San Francisco, about 1943.  The station's AM tower can be seen rising from the roof of the building.  The pairs of wires above the doorway on the left are the open-feeder transmission lines going to  the KWID and KWIX shortwave antennas.

Only some of the people in this image can be identified. Announcer Bob Hansen is third from the right.  Engineer Royal V. Howard is fourth. Sixth from the right is either KROW manager Phil Lasky or news reporter William Winter. The two women at the far left are possibly Blenda O'Brien and Thelma Karp, executive secretaries. .
