Mosaic Mural Over the Main Entrance to Radio City
This ceramic mural, measuring 16 ft. by 40 ft., towers over the
entrance to the Radio City Building above the main entrance marquee. It
was designed by artist C. J. Fitzgerald to represent the radio
industry, and contains 126 different colors of tiles.
The mural was covered during most of the 70's and 80's, when
KHBK-TV used the building as its studios. It was uncovered again in the
early 90's, and can be viewed today at the corner of Taylor and
O'Farrell Streets.
