This palatial $2 million NBC Hollywood studio complex at the corner of Sunset and Vine officially opened for business October 17, 1938, and became the new Western Division headquarters. Four large theatre-studios with outside entrances faced Sunset Boulevard, to the right hand side of this image. Each studio had the capacity for several hundred people. There were also four smaller non-audience studios in the interior of the structure.
All West Coast executive offices that had previously been divided between San Francisco and Hollywood were consolidated in the three-story executive building on the left of this image.
