LIBRARY STUDIO AT 711 FIFTH AVENUE

'Above is Miss Elinor Smith, noted girl aviatrix, as she recently spoke from the new library studio of the National Broadcasting Company in New York. The new studio was built especially for speakers making their microphone debut. In the past, these speakers were disturbed by the strange surroundings of an ordinary broadcasting studio, but with the home like atmosphere this new chamber creates, NBC officials think that this former difficulty will be overcome.'-- NBC Photo, 3/19/1931.
